The dog population in Auroville will certainly be double that of humans. Everyone, that is every person in a household seems to have two dogs or more!
Arun here is testing the 'kiss-the-frog-and-get-a-princess' theory with the puppy. As it turned out, the puppy decided to do the same experiment with him. Now Arun will never do it again!
The dog on the right, Brownie, is something special. It is claimed that it has a jackal for parent. How far it is true I don't know. It looked like a normal dog and behaved like one too. But then I haven't seen jackals from close.
